June 2026 on the farm

Overwintered dahlia blooming in the field at Purple Tuteur Farm in Blythewood, SC

First dahlia blooms of June, Purple Tuteur Farm

Hi all,

It’s June! June is one of my favorite months on the farm. The dahlias that stayed in the ground all winter are the first ones to open, and there is something about finding that color in the field that never gets old. The zinnia successions are growing, the subscription bouquets are going out, and the wholesale orders are keeping us busy in the best way.

It feels like the season has fully arrived.

A thank you and a few tubers still available

Thank you so much for your dahlia tuber orders. All deliveries have been sent and those picking up have been notified that their orders are ready. If you are expecting to hear from us but haven't, please get in touch. Thanks also for trusting us with your gardens. Watching these varieties go home with people who are excited to grow them is genuinely one of the best parts of what we do here.

We do have a small selection of individual tubers still available, and we are opening those up now through Sunday at $7 per tuber. Collections are sold out, but if you want to add one more variety to your garden, visit the website to see what is left.

A note about the Ag and Art Tour

We will not be on the Richland County Ag and Art Tour this year. If you have been planning to come out, please know there are wonderful farms and artists participating across the county and it is worth the drive. We hope to be back in future years.

As always, thank you for being part of what we grow here at Purple Tuteur Farm. It means a lot.

Linda
