Seasonal Field Assistant Position

Purple Tuteur Farm is a small specialty cut flower farm serving the Columbia, South Carolina area. We grow unique seasonal flowers that bring beauty and joy to homes and businesses throughout our community.

We are currently hiring part-time seasonal field help to assist with planting, harvesting, and maintaining our flower crops.

This is hands-on outdoor work suited to someone who enjoys physical activity, working with plants, and being part of a focused, small farm environment.

Work Schedule

• Mondays and Thursdays

• 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

• Mid-March through June

• Mid-August through October

• 8 hours per week

These are fixed days tied to harvest and planting schedules.

Gardening or farming experience is preferred.

Work Includes

• Harvesting flowers

• Planting and transplanting seedlings

• Weeding and maintaining beds

• Carrying buckets and supplies

• Supporting general field work

Compensation

• $15/hour

• Supportive, respectful work environment

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

• Lift and carry 40 lbs frequently

• Bend, kneel, squat, and stand repeatedly

• Work outdoors in heat, humidity, and changing weather

• Maintain steady physical activity for the full shift
