Ranunculus Purple Jean - 10 pack

$20.00

Add a touch of romance to your garden with Ranunculus ‘Purple Jean’, celebrated for its lush, rose-like blooms and soft fragrance. Known as the rose of spring, ranunculus is a must-have for cut flowers and garden displays. ‘Purple Jean’ showcases large blossoms in shades of lavender and purple.

Summary Growing Instructions
Planting time: October–December in the Midlands (Zones 7–9); early spring in colder zones.

Soak: 4–6 hours in room-temperature water. Don’t exceed 6 hours to prevent rot.

Plant: 2–3" deep, 4–6" apart, claws facing down.

Soil: Full sun, well-drained beds or containers amended with an all-purpose fertilizer and aged compost (we love Stout Ollie!). Avoid soggy conditions.

Water: Keep moist but not wet; let the surface dry slightly between waterings.

Protect: Use frost cloth or a sheet if temps drop below 32°F. Use hoops, coat hangers or anything you have on hand to keep the cover from touching the plants in freezing weather.

Bloom: Around 90 days after planting — just as the garden wakes up again.
