We trialed them for the first time last year and found them to be truly unique—more petite than their French Carmel cousins, but every bit as enchanting.
Anemones are among the very first flowers of spring, blooming about 90 days after planting. Early stems are shorter—perfect for bud vases—but as the season progresses, they stretch to 15–24”, making them stunning for arrangements. Each corm produces 10–20 flowers, giving you weeks of breathtaking color whether planted in beds or containers.
Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Anemones thrive in cool winter and early spring temperatures. In Zones 7 and warmer, plant in late fall; in colder areas, plant in early spring. Use frost protection if temperatures dip below freezing, and water sparingly until buds appear.
